Director of Customer Loyalty
Emily Henao is the Director of Customer Loyalty at Meijer. In her role, Emily is responsible for the strategy and digital experience development of Meijer’s mPerks Loyalty Program, in addition to leading the Customer Insight team & voice of customer capabilities. At Meijer, Emily has led multiple teams & functions spanning brand communications strategy, media & digital shopping strategies, personalization, targeted marketing, project management, and ad development. Before her career in retail, Emily spent 12 years in the advertising industry, leading Account Management & Strategy teams at Ogilvy, Saatchi & Saatchi, and Arnold Worldwide. In 2018 and 2023 Emily has been recognized as a Top Women in Grocery “Rising Star.” Emily is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at the University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, while acting as the Regional Advisor for NextUp Michigan, an organization focused on elevating & advancing women in retail. Emily is married with three children (ages eight, eight & five), 1 dog, 2 cats, and 3 beehives.
