Rachel joined Wakefern in 2018 as the Manager of Corporate Labor Relations after 15 years as a labor attorney. In her role, she oversees the recruiting, onboarding and retention of all union warehouse staff for 5 distribution centers. She is the lead negotiator for 8 collective bargaining agreements and responsible for implementation of all terms and conditions agreed upon. Rachel is passionate about recruiting individuals reentering the workforce from the military, prior legal troubles and those who are new to the United States to get them started on their fulfilling Wakefern career path. To her, “relations” is the most important part of her job title and she believes strongly that management and unions working together to understand the needs of the workforce is the key to a company’s success.
