Michael joined Brookshire Grocery Company as Chief Financial Officer in early 2018 and has responsibility for all areas of accounting, finance, treasury and tax, as well as facility services, business development, real estate, logistics and IT. From 2008 to 2017, Michael was Chief Financial Officer for Academy Sports and Outdoors and was instrumental in Academy’s sale to KKR and the related acquisition financing in 2011. During Michael’s tenure at Academy, it grew from 105 stores to more than 200 while sales and EBITDA doubled. Prior to joining Academy, Michael was an investment and corporate banker with J.P. Morgan from 2000-2008 and began his career with Price Waterhouse. Michael has a BBA from Baylor University and an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin.
