Laura is the former President for Kroger Houston, a division of The Kroger Co. (NYSE: KR). Based in Shenandoah, Texas, Laura was responsible for providing vision, promotional strategies, and implementing initiatives to grow Market Share of 108 stores across Houston, East Texas and Southwest Louisiana. Under her leadership, 14,000 associates delivered on the company’s mission to serve customers through food inspiration and uplift. She recently retired after a distinguished career in retail leadership.

Laura began her career in the grocery retail industry in 1989 and joined Kroger in 2020 as Vice President of Merchandising in the Houston Division. Prior to joining The Kroger Co., Laura spent 28 years at H-E-B Grocery Company where she held a variety of positions including Group Vice President of Center Store Operations for the San Antonio Food Drug Division, Border Regional Vice President of Operations, District Manager, and Store Manager.

Laura has served her community by being on the Board of Directors for Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston and Board Member of the Houston Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. She also serves on The Kroger Co. Foundation Board and is a member of Kroger’s DE&I Advisory. Most recently, she was recognized as one of the Top 30 Influential Women of Houston, a testament to her lasting impact and leadership.
