Kendra joined the company in 1998 as a pharmacist at Fry’s in Arizona. She was promoted to director, Public Relations for the Fry’s Division, and later relocated to California to Ralphs and Food 4 Less to lead the Public Affairs and Government Relations as well as the marketing/advertising. She served as HR Leader for Ralphs and Food 4 Less, and in 2019 was named Vice President, Merchandising for Ralphs. She was promoted to Fred Meyer, Vice President, merchandising in 2022, and began her current role in April of 2025.

Kendra served as Chair of the Board for the California Grocers Association (CGA) and is a former board of directors member for the Network of Executive Women, Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce, Los Angeles Central City Association, Discovery Science Center, and Think Together. She has a strong passion for gang reduction in inner cities and worked with Homeboy Industries to develop creative and sustainable ways to support programs that provide jobs and education.

The CGA Educational Foundation presented Kendra with their Hall of Achievement Award for her outstanding service and dedication to the food industry. Progressive Grocer recognized Kendra as a Top Women in Grocery Rising Star, and she received the Power of One Award from the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation for her work in raising awareness for breast cancer and early detection. In 2024, Kendra was named to The Shelby Report’s Women of Influence list.
