Sonya has been the Division President of Kroger for the Nashville area since 2019. She is a visionary leader who oversees more than 11,000 associates across three states for one of the fastest growing and competitive job markets in the country.
Prior to her work with Kroger, Sonya spent the previous 30 years with Walmart, where she began as an hourly associate in 1989 and rose through the company to hold leadership positions in Retail, Asset Protection, Human Resources and Operations.
Sonya is a community-oriented leader who extends her impact beyond Kroger. She is a Leadership Nashville 2023 Alumna, recently serving as chair for DE&I day for the 2024 class. Sonya is a member of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee's Board of Directors, serving as the Vice Chair of the Board. Outside of her professional and community leadership roles, Sonya is passionate about health and fitness and believes in the importance of personal well-being. She enjoys spending quality time with her husband and four children.
