Joan Dobias-Davis is Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer for The Save Mart Companies and is based in Modesto, California. Joan oversees overall human resources strategy, employee relations, talent acquisition, leadership development, diversity and inclusion, total rewards, workforce planning, and HR operations for the company.
Joan brings over 25 years of human resources and employee relations experience in the manufacturing, e-commerce, distribution and retail grocery industries. Prior to joining The Save Mart Companies, Joan was Human Resources Leader for Switzerland-based Tetra Pak Inc., overseeing the human resource function in North, Central and South America. Her prior experience includes both operational and progressive human resources leadership roles at Amazon, Supervalu, Albertsons and Winn-Dixie.
Joan earned a bachelor’s degree in history from Texas A&M University and a master’s degree in human resources and employment relations from Pennsylvania State University.
In her free time, Joan enjoys travelling with her husband Tom, hiking, spending time at the beach with friends and family, and yoga.
