Valerie Long is a seasoned business development leader with 25+ years of experience in consumer-packaged goods. As Senior Director at Kruger Products, she leads U.S. sales strategy, driving growth through Own Brand development, market insights, and operational excellence.

Her career spans leadership roles across the retail, wholesale, consulting, and supplier sectors. Valerie is known for her results-driven approach, cross-functional leadership, and ability to deliver value across complex retail environments.

She is the recipient of the 2025 Progressive Grocer Top Women in Grocery Rising Star Award and a certified mentor with Mentor Collective, guiding university students through academic and life transitions.

Currently completing her B.A. at The University of Texas at San Antonio, she also holds an A.A. from San Antonio College and a WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and Spirits.

Originally from San Antonio, Texas, Valerie treasures time spent with her four children and her husband, Shawn—her partner in life and best friend. Her hobbies include traveling, cooking, and exploring wine from developing regions.
